Stewart Allen is a consultant with the insight and strategy consultancy Claro Partners. He has worked on numerous projects including social media behaviour, consumer research and most recently the future of urban life and the city. Previous to this he was a Postdoctoral researcher with the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science, in Berlin, Germany. He received his Ph.D in 2013 from the University of Edinburgh in social anthropology. Stewart has previous experience in sustainable development, the digital city and digital healthcare delivery. He has worked with Intel as an ethnographic researcher conducting primary, qualitative research to understand user and organisational needs and responses to new technologies in the health, social care and independent living arenas. He has also carried out extensive ethnographic research in a wide range of settings including India, W. Africa, and Scotland.
In addition, Stewart has published articles and chapters in various journals and edited collections with his upcoming monograph being published by the University of Manchester Press later this year. He is a holistic thinker with a passion for exploring the concerns and intuitions that matter to people.
